Improve patient care through outcomes measurement – the results of changes in health status
attributedto the health care provided. Join field experts from across Canada, the United States,
Australia and Ireland as they discuss the successes, challenges and future of outcomes measurement
initiatives through research presentations, case studies and panel discussion. This international symposium is developed to engage clinicians to advance nursing practice by improving the delivery of evidence-based practice and quality patient care through health outcomes.
The symposium encourages knowledge transfer and collaboration in outcomes measurement, to progress towards the universal goal of better health care delivery across the world.
The symposium will feature keynote address “The Promise of Simultaneous Transformation of Practice
and Research with the Use of Clinical Information Systems” presented
by Norma M. Lang, PhD, RN, FAAN, FRCN, University of Wisconsin Regent
Distinguished Professor; Aurora Distinguished Professor of Healthcare Quality and Informatics
at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Nursing; Senior Research Fellow, Annenberg Center for Public Policy;Senior Fellow, Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics and Center for Health
Outcomes and Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania.
